  • The Consulate will remain CLOSED on the following dates:

  • Satellite phones can be imported and used in India only with prior permission and licencse from Department of Telecommunications (DOT). Thuraya Satphone service is not permitted in India.  Any satellite phones brought in baggage/hand baggage into India without licence by the DOT will be detained/confiscated.

 

  • Passport application received at the counter on or before July 12, 2010, have been processed and are ready for collection from the Consulate on any working day between 1000 Hrs - 1200 Hrs and 1600 - 1645 Hrs. This excludes lost/damage passport cases and other categories where applicants have been apprised of the processing time and also cases where clearances are awaited.
  • Mail passport applications received on or before July 13, 2010, have been processed and dispatched.This excludes lost/damage passport cases and other categories where applicants have been apprised of the processing time and also cases where clearances are awaited.
  • PIO application received at the counter on or before July 13, 2010, have been processed and are ready for collection from the Consulate on any working day between 1000 Hrs - 1200 Hrs and 1600 - 1645 Hrs. This excludes lost/damaged cases and other categories where applicants have been apprised of the processing time and also cases where clearances are awaited.
  • Mail PIO applications received on or before July 13, 2010, have been processed and dispatched. This excludes cases and other categories where applicants have been apprised of the processing time and also cases where clearances are awaited.
  • OCI applications received till June 4, 2010, have been processed. OCI cards and lifelong visas (U Visa) are ready for dispatch. Kindly check the ONLINE Status and follow the instructions for Dispatch.

 

  • All travellers transitting through European/Schengen/America countries are advised to ascertain the visa requirement before commencing their travel and to ensure compliance with these requirements.
  • Person travelling with OCI Cards are advised to carry both the OCI card and also passport carrying U visa.
