Emergency Visa Applications at Consulate General of India, San Francisco
Emergency Visa requests at Consulate General of India, San Francisco will be entertained only for those applicants residing within the jurisdiction of the Consulate namely the states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Hawaii, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington, Wyoming and Territory of Guam. Applicants from other jurisdictions / Non-US passport Holders will not be eligible to apply for Emergency Visa at Consulate General of India in San Francisco and will have to apply at their respective Consulates under whose jurisdiction they reside.
Visa applicants holding US passports (only those born in USA or with Indian origin are eligible) can apply for EMERGENCY VISAS at the Cox & Kings Global Services San Francisco Centre located at 1st Floor, 225 Bush Street, San Francisco, CA 94104.
- These Emergency Visa applications (for any type of Visa, provided they are accompanied by adequate / necessary documents and mandatory fees) shall be accepted even without an appointment, on a WALK-IN basis and are normally issued within the end of the same working day (if applied before 1100 hours) and will be processed under high priority.
- Indian origin Visa applicants applying for Renunciation of Indian Citizenship Certificate simultaneously along with Visa application requests are not eligible for Emergency Visas.
- Applicants are notified not to entertain any Agent for applying Visa/OCI/PIO/Renunciation service. No Agent is authorized to arrange walk-in/priority appointments. Applicants may inform the Consulate immediately in case any Agent approaches them with a promise to expedite the application.
- Those who have dual nationality or original link to countries like Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iran, etc., are not eligible.
